VHF Radio
Businesses today have discovered an easy and inexpensive method to increase profits. Has also added two radios
to their communication systems. Decrease of operating costs and increasing productivity are two major reasons for
the extra benefits.
Two-Way Radios are cost effective tools. They are used to
communicate between departments or in the countryside, decreasing the time spent in many tasks. The response time
is faster and projects can be tracked more efficiently using 2-way radios. They are practical, reliable, durable
and less expensive than cellular phones.
But Two-Way Radio to choose ...
There are many models of 2-way radio to choose from, depending on the needs and requirements of your business.
Before acquiring any walkie-talkies, consider these four characteristics: frequency, power, channels, and
durability of the phones.
UHF or VHF frequency?
Consider your environment to choose the frequency you need. If you communicate within a building or where there
are no obstructions between radios, then UHF 2-way radio is the best. These radios work well for businesses such as
restaurants, hotels, health centers and schools.
Two-way VHF radios work well when used outside in open fields with few trees or hills. Businesses such as farms
and ranches, golf courses, and study teams to assess the reliability of the radios VHF.
Power-How much do you need?
Business Radios range in power from 1 watt to 5 watts. While the radios are more powerful communicate to the
greater distance, often that power is not needed. If the area of business communication is under 200,000 square
feet or less than a mile away, then a 1-watt work well for you.
If the range is between multiple buildings, of up to 250,000 square feet in area, or up to 2 kilometers away,
then a 2-watt radio work. When communicating to 300,000 square feet and up to 3 miles, a 3-watt radio will work.
Keep in account the range or distance that you are using the radios to determine the power you really need.
Channels: How many are really needed?
The number of channels available in 2-way radios varies with each model. If all your employees need to
communicate, then a channel is well. However, if you operate a business as a hotel, you'll want multiple channels.
Then their kitchen / wait staff, housekeeping, valet parking, and each one can keep contact in its own channel.
Determines how many different departments communicate with each other and between departments when deciding how
many channels your radio needs.
Durability-the way that should my 2-Way Radio Telephones Be?
How and where two-way radios will be used determines the robustness needed on the phones. If using the outer
radius, where they could get hit a little, then you need a robust model. If the radii Two-way be used within a
communications office building from floor to floor, then a less robust model will work well.
Assess their needs, determine which features you must have in his walkie-talkie. Then check the specifications
of each model to decide what will work best for you.
